Human Endeavour’s HOPE project has been recognized among the Top 5 Best Existing Age Friendly Initiatives in the world at the International Istanbul Initiative on Ageing Conference and Competition in 2013.
2012 recipient of 3M Health Leadership Award
Health Nexus and 3M Canada announced Mr. Noor Din, founder of Human Endeavour as the 2012 recipient of the Health Leadership Award.His passion for innovation and creativity has helped to grow and sustain employment and seniors support programs which reach hundreds of people across the Greater Toronto Area, from diverse ethnic and racial communities.”Noor Din is such an important leader within his community. Innovation Award 2010
HOPE was declared a winner for Innovation Award 2010 by the Ontario Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care & the Ontario Hospital Association at Innovation Expo held on 10 Nov 2010. The Program, which delivered variety of preventive engagements with seniors, was implemented through several partner organizations. Various sub-program components were added each year which were funded by Government of Canada, Elder Connections, Human Endeavour’s founding members and community members, with the valuable support of more than 93 volunteers.
Noor Din Announced City of Vaughan's Civic Hero - Ward 3 Civic Hero Award, 2007
Noor Din arrived in Canada from Pakistan in 1990. Over the years, he has become involved in many cultural, community and senior organizations in the City of Vaughan, giving his time to develop programs and activities that help others integrate into Canadian society. Among Mr. Din’s numerous accomplishments include the founding of Human Endeavour, a not-for-profit organization he created to combat poverty, and promote peace and democracy in developing countries around the world.Mr. Din has served as Vice-President of the Seniors’ Association of Vaughan Initiative (SAVI), a senior services group based in Vaughan, and is also active with the Punjabi Community Health Centre to provide culturally appropriate services to the South Asian community in York and Peel Regions. He has used his experience in the technology industry to offer free computer classes to new immigrants at the Pierre Berton Resource Library…. (City of Vaughan Website )
